Yuko Shimizu

Criterion Collection  announced the release of their 1000th title,  15 movie big box set of Gozilla Showa Era  films, 1954–1975. 15 other illustrators created each separate title, and I was lucky enough to contribute 4 images: cover, back cover, double page spread and a single page.
Thank you Eric Skillman for impeccable art direction, including color directions which are not my usual color palette. (Always exciting to try out something new, and especially when it works. )

The box set was released on October 29, 2019.

The series won multiple awards including a medal from the Society of Illustrators and American Illustration
