Design Within Reach: Best of the Best Illustrations (One Night Event)

    Design Within Reach and the Museum of American Illustration invite you to attend a cocktail reception and private viewing of selected works from Illustrators 51. Showcasing the best contemporary illustrations from around the world, this annual exhibit features art commissioned for magazines, books, film and theater posters, graphic novels and newspapers. Chosen by a jury of professional peers from thousands of submissions, ten of the very best will be on display at DWR: Tools for Living for this special evening. Featured artists include Edel Rodriguez, Sam Weber, Mirko Ilic, Jillian Tamaki, Emiliano Ponzi, Tim O’Brien, Leo Espinosa, Chris Buzelli, Yuko Shimizu and Jesse Hartland. Cocktails provided by Belvedere Vodka.

    IAM Encounter is International Arts Movement‘s annual gathering for artists and creative catalysts to wrestle with the deep question of art, faith and humanity, to inspire the creative community.

    I will be participating this year by leading a master class in drawing. Usual leader of the class and my good friend John Hendrix cannot participate this year because of a brand new member in his family. I will be his substitute!

    I have participated in this group show about homeland security and what we sacrifice in return. Artists from around the world were invited to create site specific installations.

    My contribution is a poster design to be seen around Berlin. Six graphic designers and illustrators were invited for this part of the exhibition.

    The Ebeling Group is an commercial production studio located in LA area. They organized and curated a show that has a loose theme in typography and asked me to be a part of it.

    My contributions are some pieces from ALPHABET BOOK PROJECT.
