    I will be taking part in a panel discussion/talk at Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) with fellow illustrators Marcos Chin, Fernanda Cohen, Fred Harper and Zina Saunders. The talk is titled: How I Got My First Job; basically we hope to encourage young illustrators/students by embarrassingly revealing our humble starts in the field.

    The First Greater China Illustration Awards deadline has just passed. The competition has entered the judging stage, which I will be participating in Hong Kong in November. Good luck to all the participants!

    A group show focuses on Japanese art, from the old to the new, has just opened in Rome, Italy. The show features works of famous ukiyo-e artists such as Utamaro, Kuniyosi and Hiroshige, as well as works by contemporary Japanese illustrators. Some of my works are shown along side the works of illustrators live/work in Japan including Tatsuro Kiuchi, my high school classmate and now very well respected illustrator.
