IdN (International Design Network)is a beautiful design magazine from Hong Kong distributed throughout the world.Their 2005 issue #1 just came out with feature called “Blueprint” in which 6 commercial artists from different countries talk about how they create their blueprints and how they turn them into actual final designs.
I was featured as one of them, and talked about how my ideas turn into final illustrations. Other artists in the feature include British fashion designer Paul Smith. Thank you Alva!

Two talented artists came in to my SVA classes as guest lecturers last week. Maximilian Bode just got out of Pratt and already is a full time freelance illustrator. He is someone my senior students can look up to and learn from. June Kim is a successful illustrator (well known for her Jet album cover) but she keeps working on her passion, comics at the same time. She is working on her first book to be published from Tokyo Pop. Thank you guys!!
